The "insula" of the Ara Coeli, the only apartment building of ancient Rome still visible, with the original stairways, rooms and balconies.
It was realized in the early II century a.D. at the base of the Capitoline hill. The haigh could reach more then 7 store for an estimated population of more then 150 person. It was discovered in late XXth century due the excavation and the demolition started for the construction if the huge monument to King of Italy Vittorio Emanuele 2nd.
