The temple of Ercole, was the first circular temple of Rome and one of the first to be built in marble. The first construction is probably dated back at II century b.C. but later was completelly rebuilted in todays form. In Middle Age the cell of the temple was transformed in a church. The cell mantains the old structure but the walls were painted with frescoed through 13th and 14th century.
