<  Caetani Castle - Sermoneta

A powerful construction of medieval origin positioned above the ancient village to control the Pontine marshes and flood plains. The castle was built in the heart of the Caetani's family territory, one of the most important family of Rome and latium during Middle Age and renaiisance times. The castle was expanded and modified in the 16th century, when Pope Alexander Borgia's children Valentino and Lucrezia Borgia stayed here.
