The cult of Mithra was one of the most popular of the pagans cult in Rome before Christians. Imported from Persia by Romans Legionary, this cult was very important in many sectors of Roman Society, especially between soldiers. The itinerary will show some of the Mithraic rooms , now placed in the underground of some churches and palaces of Roma. The tour will start from the famous Mithraic room of St. Clemente, one of the biggest and best preserved of Rome, with his sacristy and antichamber. We wll move at the Circus Maximus where in the underground of XXth century building we will enter in the fashinating excavations area of this Mithraic place of cult.
