Palazzo
della Cancelleria, perhaps the palazzo that best represents the passage from
the Medieval period to the Renaissance. Behind the solemn façade, created
with the travertine blocks taken from the Colosseum we discover one of the
most important courtyards of the Roman Renaissance. On first floor two of
the biggest great hall or Fome, the Sala Riaria adn the famous Sala dei cento
Giorni, painted with frescoes by Vasari in 1545. In the subterranean is hidden
a grave dated at I cen. b.C. now underwater.
