Palazzo Sacchetti

Antonio Sangallo's superb masterpiece, the palazzo was built during the 16th century as the architect's private residence. After his death it passed to the Sacchetti family, who sumptuously decorated it with beautiful furnishings that are still in situ.
The painting cycle of the Stories of David by Francesco Salviati, is a celebrated masterpiece of Italian Mannerism.
